CYY-W330 Pre-furnace Molten Iron Temperature Meter

The CYY-W330 is a specialized pre-tap molten iron temperature meter, an essential device for iron casting foundries. In iron casting operations, molten iron temperature is one of the most critical parameters that must be closely monitored during melting and before pouring. Accurate control of molten iron temperature ensures cast product quality, reduces defect rates, and improves production efficiency.

CYY-W330 enables workers to use handheld guns and thermocouples for direct measurement of molten iron temperature at the cupola, induction furnace, medium-frequency furnace, molten iron ladle, and pouring area. "Pre-furnace temperature measurement" is the most important and widely used application of CYY-W330 in the cast iron foundry industry. The device is carried directly to the furnace area for on-site measurement at the required inspection point. This method is ideal for foundries that do not have a fixed automatic temperature measurement system but still need to monitor molten iron temperature before pouring.

In the gray iron casting workshop, the liquid iron temperature measurement process using CYY-W330 proceeds as follows: 1. Prepare the thermometer and install the appropriate thermocouple for liquid iron. 2. Power on the CYY-W330; the device displays the currently configured thermocouple type. 3. Carry the device to the cupola or ladle containing liquid iron. 4. Insert the probe into the liquid iron to a depth of approximately 50-100 mm. 5. Wait for the indicator light and alarm signal confirming measurement completion (takes only 1 seconds). 6. Remove the thermometer and read the liquid iron temperature from the LED display.

Automatically records the maximum temperature of molten iron for easy operator readout. The bright red LED display remains clearly visible even in high-glare foundry environments.

The CYY-W330 features robust electromagnetic interference (EMI) immunity, enabling molten iron temperature measurement while the medium-frequency induction furnace is powered on—without shutting down the furnace.
