CYY-W330 Handheld Liquid Metal Thermometer

The CYY-W330 is a handheld liquid metal temperature meter specifically designed for measuring the temperature of molten iron, steel, and other molten metals during smelting and casting. In the metallurgy and casting industry, controlling molten metal temperature is critical to final product quality. Built with a rugged metal casing for robust electromagnetic interference (EMI) resistance, the CYY-W330 can measure temperature while the medium-frequency induction furnace is powered on—no need to shut down. This feature is highly valuable for foundries using electric induction furnaces, enabling continuous monitoring of molten iron or steel temperatures during melting without interrupting operations.

The CYY-W330 features an integrated design combining the meter and handheld probe. The probe accepts standard extension rods with a typical length of 1,5 meters, configurable from 1 to 3 meters based on user needs. This design allows operators to stand in a safe, convenient position while inserting the thermocouple into molten metal for measurement.

Measuring temperature with the CYY-W330 is simple and fast: 1. Install the probe gun and connect it to the correct thermocouple connector. 2. Power on the CYY-W330; the device will display the configured thermocouple type. 3. Insert the probe into the molten metal to a recommended depth of 50-100 mm. 4. Wait for the completion signal; an indicator light and buzzer will alert you when the measurement is complete. 5. Remove the probe immediately after the measurement finishes. 6. Read the temperature on the LED display—the device automatically holds the maximum value for easy reading.

The device features multiple intelligent functions for foundry operations: - Automatic temperature hold: After measurement, the temperature value remains displayed for the operator to read. - LED and buzzer alerts: Upon completion of a measurement, the device signals with both an LED light and an audible beep. - Thermocouple break detection: If the thermocouple or signal line is open, the device displays an error for user inspection. - Out-of-range alert: The device warns when the input signal exceeds the allowable measurement range. - Low battery warning: When battery voltage is low, the device alerts the operator to charge promptly. - Auto power-off: If the device is turned on but no input signal is detected within 2 minutes, it automatically powers off to conserve battery.
